Tonight's market movement is basically driven by the logic of CPI reinforcing rate hike expectations, but falling oil prices easing the continuous rate hike outlook, leading to a rebound.
Next week, Iran will lead a regional meeting, and the Middle East landscape has already quietly shifted. However, the U.S. likely won't sit back and let Iran gain dominance—at most, they might temporarily compromise to curb inflation. There is indeed a possibility of oil prices dropping under Iran's leadership.
The U.S. is even prepared to use the Defense Production Act to boost output, so a bit of tacit cooperation isn't entirely out of the question.
