Although the market dropped after the CPI data was released, I personally feel that this data could ease the Fed's expectations for a rate hike in September. The focus now is still on Hormuz. If the U.S. really plans to drag this out until after the midterm elections, causing inflation to continue rising in September, then the probability of the Fed raising rates in October will be higher. Even now, I still believe the Fed won't raise rates in September.
