Base App got updated yesterday and turned into CB Wallet, even the colors changed. At the beginning of the month, Base officially made 'tokenized US stocks' its top priority and started integrating with Base DeFi platforms like Aerodrome. Base used to be all-encompassing, trying to do everything at once. It reminds me of last year during Token2049 when the Base booth @base was one of the hottest spots at the event. Everyone was flocking around Base. Back then, Base hadn’t issued a token yet, but the massive momentum from Coinbase’s brand, user base, funding, and developer ecosystem attracted a lot of attention. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much wealth effect. The explosive success of rh might have made the team internally rethink what they should and shouldn’t do. After all these major changes, things are clearer now. Compared to rh+sol+bsc+arc going live, I think Base still deserves attention.
