Lawyer: What rights of Jing Tian might be violated by Justin Sun's post?
Crypto law expert Jianzhi Jin @JianzhiJin shared on the WuTalk NoCrypto podcast that although Justin Sun stated in his article that 'this is purely fictional,' the disclaimer may not hold up since the post explicitly names individuals. If the content distorts or fabricates facts, it could infringe on reputation rights; even if the content is entirely true, revealing extensive private life details might violate privacy rights. Jing Tian could demand cessation of infringement, a public apology, and compensation for damages. If she can prove actual economic losses, such as losing endorsement deals, she could seek corresponding compensation. However, purely emotional distress compensation is typically lower.
