About robinhood: 0x5f604fba1162193a4388a5dfa56f556f3e133cc2. Even though I’ve criticized it for its massive volatility—like a 101% swing in two weeks, basically a gambling stock—if you purely look at the fundamentals, this stock could be seen as an asymmetric bet. The catch? You need to have nerves of steel to handle those wild swings.
Let’s talk about what AEHR does and its financials:
When optical chips are made, you need to ensure they can work stably over the long term. If a defective chip gets packaged into an expensive module and the issue is discovered later, it’s a massive loss.
AEHR: Before packaging, they run high-intensity tests on chips to weed out the ones prone to early failure or unstable performance. Their equipment can test multiple wafers at once, helping clients integrate testing into scalable production processes.
AEHR has already been integrated into its clients’ production workflows. According to a June announcement, a new silicon photonics client received one production system and two engineering systems in May, then placed additional orders. By August, a major silicon photonics client continued placing orders for production equipment, with deliveries scheduled for the first half of 2027.
Now, let’s look at AEHR’s scale:
In fiscal year 2026, their total revenue was only $50 million. But in Q4 alone, they received $60.7 million in new orders.
One quarter’s worth of orders already exceeded their entire fiscal year revenue. By July, their backlog of effective orders reached about $100 million, and their fiscal year 2027 revenue guidance was set at $130–150 million, representing a 160%–200% YoY growth. This guidance includes AI processors, silicon photonics, and power semiconductor businesses, reflecting the company’s expectations for the future.
For their major clients, it’s just about adding a few more production lines. But for a company with $50 million in annual revenue, this is a whole new level of business scale.
The explosive growth in orders might just give AEHR the potential to become the 'next SNDK.'
An industry’s demand suddenly accelerates, and a small company with a low revenue base happens to be positioned at a critical step in the client’s process. Orders skyrocket, revenue surges, the small business takes off, and the stock price soars.
