[OpenAI CEO Open to Slowing Down Cutting-Edge AI Development] According to Bloomberg, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated during an all-hands meeting this week that the company is considering slowing down the pace of developing cutting-edge AI models and hopes other labs will collaborate in doing so, though some peers may disagree. Previously, OpenAI Chief Scientist Jakub Pachocki had written an article calling for industry-wide coordination to slow down in order to address AI risks. OpenAI has said it has already slowed down the development of certain models and paused some internal training.
