[Approximately One-Quarter of Devices from Bankrupt Crypto ATM Operator Bitcoin Depot Acquired at Low Price] According to Coindesk, crypto ATM operator Bitcoin Depot (BTM) has sold part of its assets following its bankruptcy protection filing in May. Publicly traded digital asset infrastructure company Bitcoin Bancorp (BCBC) purchased 2,547 ATMs for just $620,750, accounting for over one-quarter of Bitcoin Depot's more than 9,200 devices. The primary reasons for Bitcoin Depot's bankruptcy include a 49% year-over-year decline in first-quarter revenue, shifting from a $12.2 million profit in the same period last year to a $9.5 million loss. The company attributed its unsustainable business model to increasingly stringent regulatory requirements, transaction limits, and restrictions/bans in certain regions.
