More than 100 participants worked alongside AI coding agents for roughly eight weeks. They reduced the computing resources needed for a calculation that could eventually help unlock crypto wallets. Their result BEAT Google’s earlier benchmark, although the comparison is not perfectly like-for-like. But, Bitcoin and Ethereum have NOT been cracked. The improvement covers one step, not a complete attack. Of note, NO existing quantum computer can use it to break either network today.
