I want to thank the members of JAMRROC who have agreed to serve and to give of their time in service to Jamaica.
Public service requires sacrifice, and I recognise the commitment each member is making at this important time for our country. Following Hurricane Melissa, we knew that Jamaica would need a coordinated recovery effort and strong oversight to help guide the process.
JAMRROC brings together people with experience from across society, including business, the church, academia, the engineering and housing sectors, and civil society. Each member brings a different perspective, but we share a responsibility to help Jamaica recover, rebuild and move forward with integrity, impartiality and transparency.
As we undertake this work, I expect JAMRROC to listen to the people, provide oversight and help ensure that the recovery remains focused on the needs of Jamaicans.(Andrew Holness)
