Chainlink pulled in a wave of new wallets in late August. Here is what the data shows, and what it cannot show.
🆕 New addresses: 974 a day in early August, 1,601 at peak, 1,140 now. About a quarter of the surge held.
📊 Active addresses: 3,599, then 5,572, now 4,821. About two thirds held.
⚖️ Same windows, SOL active addresses sit +7.5% and ETH +5.2%. This one is Chainlink-specific.
🧭 What we cannot tell you: whether that retained activity is people returning, or a smaller set of addresses transacting more often. Address counts do not carry user intent.
New wallets are cheap to create, but sustained activity is not.
