This feature digitally verifies whether photos taken by users have been post-edited using AI. When users take a photo, the main camera sensor simultaneously captures signed sensor data. Subsequently, Apple's 'Private Cloud Computing' service converts this data into an 'immutable image' that can be viewed in the 'Photos' app. If the photo has been edited, users can view the original 'digital negative' image and compare the differences. The certification mark for the 'Reference Image' will not only appear on the device where the photo was taken. Users can also share the signed photos with others, including the reference signature for future verification. However, this feature will not be available in the European Union or China for the time being.
