**[Apple Launches First Foldable iPhone Duo, Starting at $1,999]**
According to Jinse Finance, on September 10, Apple unveiled its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo. When unfolded, it features a 7.6-inch inner display, the largest screen ever on an iPhone. When folded, it uses a 5.4-inch outer display, with a screen area equivalent to 90% of the iPhone 18 Pro. Both screens support ProMotion, always-on display, and a peak outdoor brightness of up to 3,000 nits.
The new device features a Grade 5 titanium body and a precision hinge composed of over 100 components. It supports IP68 dust and water resistance and integrates Touch ID into the side button. The iPhone Duo is powered by the 2nm A20 Pro chip and a custom vapor chamber, delivering up to a 35% performance boost compared to the iPhone 17 Pro. It supports split-screen functionality for running two apps simultaneously.
The device is equipped with a 48MP main camera and a 48MP ultra-wide camera. The foldable design also allows users to take selfies with the rear camera and preview them in real-time on the outer screen. The new model adopts a dual-battery architecture, offering up to 44 hours of video playback when using the outer screen.
The iPhone Duo is available in two colors: Star White and Night Sky, with storage options of 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB. It starts at $1,999 in the U.S., with pre-orders beginning on October 16 and official sales starting on October 23. The device will be part of the first wave of releases in over 70 countries and regions, including China.
