[Apple's First Foldable iPhone Duo Starts at 15,999 RMB for the Chinese Market, Official Release on October 23]
BlockBeats News, September 10: Apple has unveiled its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo. When unfolded, it features a 7.6-inch inner display, the largest screen ever on an iPhone; when folded, it uses a 5.4-inch outer display, with a screen area equivalent to 90% of the iPhone 18 Pro. Both screens support ProMotion, always-on display, and a maximum outdoor brightness of 3000 nits. The new device is built with a five-grade titanium alloy body and a precision hinge composed of over 100 components, offering IP68 dust and water resistance, and integrates Touch ID into the side button.
The iPhone Duo is powered by the 2nm A20 Pro chip and a custom vapor chamber, delivering up to 35% higher sustained performance compared to the iPhone 17 Pro. It supports split-screen functionality for running two apps simultaneously. The device is equipped with a 48MP main camera and a 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera, with the foldable design enabling rear-camera selfies and real-time preview on the outer display. The new model adopts a dual-battery architecture, supporting up to 44 hours of video playback when using the outer display.
The iPhone Duo is available in two color options: Star White and Night Sky, with storage capacities of 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB.
