[Vitalik: Recursive STARK Mempools Can Reduce Costs for Quantum-Secure Signatures and Private Transactions]
Odaily Planet Daily News - Vitalik posted on the X platform, expressing hope to include the recursive STARK mempool proposal EIP-8288 in the Ethereum I-star upgrade, describing it as the next step after Frames. This proposal can move quantum-secure signature data off-chain, reducing signature costs; the gas cost for quantum-secure private transactions is also expected to drop from around 10 million to tens of thousands. The proposal relies on Frames and recursive STARK aggregated transactions, with nodes sending a STARK of approximately 100 to 300KB per time cycle; the additional on-chain overhead consists of one STARK and 96 bytes per statement to be proven.
