Backpack just added 4 more stock perpetuals: HOOD, CRCL, TSLA, DRAM. These assets now support 24/7 trading. Robinhood, Circle, Tesla, plus DRAM as an ETF—this lineup covers more than just a single type of U.S. stock asset. Since early September, Backpack has been consistently expanding with AAPL, NVDA, SPCX and other Equity/ETF Perps, and now it’s adding even more. I think this pace is more interesting than simply “launching a few more trading pairs.” Because Backpack is turning stock perpetuals into a long-term product, not just occasionally listing a few trending stocks. For people used to Crypto’s 24/7 trading, one of the biggest differences with the traditional U.S. stock market is trading hours. Now, stock perpetuals can trade around the clock too. At least in terms of trading methods, the boundary between traditional markets and Crypto markets is becoming less distinct.
