[Four XRP ETFs Have Been Included in Charles Schwab Money Market Fund's Repo Collateral Pool]
(According to Bitcoin.com) reports, Charles Schwab's money market fund disclosed on August 31 that shares of four XRP spot ETFs—Grayscale, Canary, Franklin, and Bitwise—have been used as collateral for repurchase agreements. The total size of these repurchase agreements is nearly $4 billion, with counterparties being JPMorgan Securities and Bank of America Securities. The scale of XRP ETF collateral increased from $36,000 in April to $8.32 million in August, a growth of approximately 20 times. August marked the first time the four major U.S. spot XRP ETFs simultaneously appeared in repo collateral. The Charles Schwab money market fund did not directly purchase XRP ETFs; instead, when the fund lends out cash, the borrower provides a basket of securities as collateral. The inclusion of XRP ETFs in repo collateral signifies that Wall Street's short-term financing market has begun to regard them as conventional assets.
