Bitcoin and Lightning Network wallet infrastructure Alby announced that critical security vulnerabilities have been identified in Alby Hub versions v1.7.0–v1.18.5. If the affected versions of the Hub are accessible from the public internet, attackers may gain unauthorized access through its management API and transfer funds. At least one user has been confirmed to be affected so far. Alby stated that versions v1.19.0 and later, released on August 29, 2025, are not impacted by this vulnerability.
