After purchasing 4,603 bitcoin:native at an average price of approximately $80,318 each last time, MSTR did not continue adding to its position in the latest week. Between August 31 and September 7, Strategy neither bought nor sold any Bitcoin, nor did it sell any shares on the market through its ATM program.
Over the past week, MSTR spent a total of $176.3 million to repurchase 1,810,885 shares of STRC, with an average buyback price of approximately $97.36 per share based on the disclosed amount. This expenditure came entirely from existing USD cash reserves, meaning the preferred stock buyback this week did not come at the expense of reducing Bitcoin holdings or issuing new shares through the ATM program.
At the same time, the board increased the total authorization for the preferred stock buyback program from $1 billion to $2 billion. According to this disclosure, the remaining authorization for preferred stock buybacks is $1.19 billion, while MSTR’s common stock buyback program still has an additional $1 billion in authorization.
Currently, MSTR has $5.1 billion in USD reserves to support preferred stock dividends and debt interest payments, along with $1.44 billion in USD cash available for purchasing Bitcoin, supplementing USD reserves, and other capital management purposes. Combined, these total approximately $6.54 billion.
As of September 7, MSTR’s Bitcoin holdings remain at 845,050 BTC, with a total acquisition cost of approximately $6.373 billion. The average cost per Bitcoin, including fees, is approximately $75,412.
