[Quantitative Trading Giant: Storage Chips Have Firmly Secured the 'Throne of Semiconductors,' Favoring Micron and SanDisk]
Quantitative trading giant Susquehanna analyst Mehdi Hosseini recently stated that storage has become the 'king' of the semiconductor industry and believes that 'the dominance of storage will continue.' In a report sent to clients on Tuesday, he noted that investments in AI data centers are expected to double the chip industry's revenue this year to $1.5 trillion, with storage chips being the 'primary driver' of this growth. He cited global shipment and average selling price data from the Semiconductor Industry Association in July. Hosseini pointed out that storage chips currently account for 50% to 55% of total semiconductor revenue, adding that historically, storage has accounted for about 20% to 30% of the industry's total revenue.
