According to tech journalist Mark Gurman, Apple will unveil a new "Readiness" app at this Wednesday's "Surprise and Shine" event. The app is designed to assess users' physical recovery status and readiness for daily activities. It will serve as a variant of the existing watchOS 11 "Vitals" app, generating a comprehensive metric similar to Oura's "Readiness Score" based on data such as average heart rate, respiratory rate, blood oxygen levels, wrist temperature, and the previous night's sleep duration. Developers had previously discovered traces of "Readiness" in the watchOS 27 beta code.
