Odaily Planet Daily reports that Meta Platforms (META.O) has launched a personal AI agent application called Muse, allowing users to delegate digital tasks such as scheduling appointments, filling out electronic forms, and monitoring home cameras to an AI assistant. Meta AI head Alexander Wang stated that Muse is powered by Meta's Muse Spark series foundational models and offers a free version as well as subscription plans priced at $20 and $100 per month. He emphasized that Muse operates within an independent, isolated environment on Meta's computing infrastructure, does not access users' actual passwords or payment information, and will request confirmation before performing sensitive operations. Users can choose whether to allow Meta to use their interactions with Muse to train AI models. If permitted, Meta will remove key personal identifiable information before using the data for model improvement. The product launch comes as Meta faces challenges related to AI safety, privacy concerns, and pressure to deliver returns on AI investments. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg previously stated that personal AI agents will be a key driver of the company's future products and revenue growth. Meta also revealed that it is exploring commercial models related to shopping transactions with AI agents in the future.
