[Circle CCTP Adds Support for Prepaid Transaction Fee Feature] According to official news, Circle's Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) now supports a prepaid transaction fee feature for faster transfers. Previously, protocol fees were directly deducted from the USDC transfer amount on the destination chain. With this update, developers can now quote and collect fees in advance using the native gas token of the source chain or USDC before executing the transfer. This simplifies the fee handling process for cross-chain transfers and ensures users receive the expected amount of USDC. Currently, the prepaid fee feature supports USDC transfers across all EVM chains covered by CCTP but does not yet support transfers initiated from Solana. Transfers to Solana, however, remain supported.
