[Two Prime CEO: Bitcoin's Rebound Still Has Room, Volatility Short Covering to Provide Additional Momentum]
According to CoinDesk, Alexander Blume, founder and CEO of crypto asset management firm Two Prime, stated that Bitcoin's recent rebound still has room to grow. This is primarily due to significant selling of volatility by institutional investors facing position pressure. If prices continue to rise, short sellers will be forced to cover, further fueling the rally. He noted that the current market structure is healthy, with funding rates showing no signs of overheating. The rebound is not driven by speculation, as sustained inflows into spot ETFs and corporate buying provide substantial support. Although implied volatility has risen from 23%-24% to above 40, it remains relatively low by historical standards. If sellers of bullish options are forced to close their positions, it could accelerate the upward movement. Blume believes that if macro conditions remain stable, BTC has likely established a bottom near $60,000. The biggest risk comes from a broad collapse in risk assets, but widespread market pessimism means even moderate positive news could have an outsized impact.
