《Three-in-One Trading System|BTC Evening Market Analysis (1/3): Volume and Price Dynamics》
Wall Street institutions have been off work these past two days, and BTC's price has dropped from 80k to around 78,100, with narrow price fluctuations. However, there’s been a clear shift in the volume structure.
Bullish volume continues to shrink.
Since pulling back from the 80K high, bullish volume on the 4-hour chart has been decreasing step by step. Each rebound is weaker than the last, with evident lack of follow-through buying.
Bearish volume is gradually increasing.
On September 4th, there was a relatively strong bearish volume spike, but it lacked follow-through. Overall, bearish volume is slightly stronger than bullish volume, with bears temporarily taking control.
Open interest is rising instead of falling.
As the price dropped to around 78,200, Binance Futures OI remained at approximately $9.6 billion, significantly above the 180-day average. New short positions are being opened to drive the price down, rather than being closed passively.
However, there’s a whale buy wall providing support below 78K-77K (around $74.52M in buy orders at 77,888), so it won’t be easy for bears to push further down.
Volume analysis: Bears have a temporary edge, but it’s not overwhelming. Short-term price fluctuations are expected to remain limited.
