Bitcoin is showing a liquidity warning that can't be ignored.
BTC has been surging recently, but there's a very clear divergence happening behind the scenes:
BTC going up
USDT market cap continuously dropping
What does this mean?
USDT can be seen as one of the most important sources of "on-chain liquidity" in the crypto space.
Under normal circumstances, if a lot of new money is preparing to enter the market, stablecoin liquidity typically shouldn't keep shrinking.
But right now, the situation is:
Prices are rising, but the on-chain dollar liquidity is decreasing.
What's even more concerning is this—
The last two times we saw a similar situation on the chart:
USDT market cap dropped → BTC kept rising → Eventually, BTC experienced a significant pullback.
This doesn't mean BTC *has* to drop right now.
But it tells us something very important:
This current rally isn't showing signs of stablecoin liquidity expanding in sync.
If BTC continues to hit new highs, but the USDT market cap still doesn't stop declining and rebound,
⚠️ I'll actually become more cautious the higher it goes.
Because a truly healthy bull market
shouldn't just have prices going up while liquidity keeps flowing out.
Right now, what I'm most focused on isn't how much higher BTC can go,
but rather—
Is the money *really* coming back?
