[Tectonic Discloses Attack Incident: Involving $120.4 Million, Approximately $9.19 Million Yet to Be Recovered]
Cronos lending protocol Tectonic released a report on the August 30 attack incident: the attacker manipulated the TONIC price by approximately 195 times and conducted recursive collateralization, borrowing about $120.4 million from nine lending markets. After Cronos suspended the network and restored its state, most assets returned to their pre-attack status, but approximately $9.19 million had been transferred cross-chain and has yet to be recovered. The team plans to phase out low-liquidity collateral and set borrowing caps for the markets.
