[Intel CPUs Reportedly Set for Another 10% Price Increase in Early October]
According to media reports, in response to rising overall costs, Intel's PC CPUs have already seen price increases over the past year, with a tentative plan to raise prices by another 10% in early October. The report states that despite a projected slight decline in the PC end-market by 2027, Intel has chosen to increase CPU prices, prioritizing higher gross margins as its primary goal, abandoning its previous strategy of aggressive price cuts to capture market share. Supply chain analysts believe that if Intel sets low gross margins as a critical threshold for product retention, some products may be forced to exit the market. Following this shift in demand, Arm-based players such as MediaTek and Qualcomm may have opportunities to step in.
