COPPER SURGES TO ALL-TIME HIGH
Copper hit a record $14,533 a ton on the London Metal Exchange, fueled by fears of potential US tariffs on refined copper imports.
Prices have jumped 17% over the past year, supported by tight mine supply and rising demand from data centers, renewable energy and power grids.
Heavy shipments to the US have also reduced availability elsewhere, adding further pressure to prices.(*Walter Bloomberg)
