[Changxin Memory LPDDR6 Chip Achieves Mass Production, Debuts in Xiaomi 18 Fold] According to DeepTech TechFlow, on September 7, Changxin Memory's independently developed LPDDR6 chip has achieved mass production and commercial use, making its debut in the Xiaomi 18 Fold foldable flagship smartphone. This marks the first global implementation of LPDDR6 products in flagship smartphones. The chip features a packaging capacity of 16GB and a maximum transfer rate of 12,800Mbps, offering a 60% increase in peak bandwidth and a 20% reduction in power consumption compared to LPDDR5X. Changxin Memory stated that the chip adopts a dual-subchannel architecture, dual-rail dynamic voltage frequency scaling, dynamic efficiency mode, and multiple reliability designs. Performance, energy efficiency, and thermal management have been enhanced through process and packaging optimizations. In the future, LPDDR6 is expected to be applied in smartphones, computers, smart vehicles, edge servers, wearable devices, and robots.
