[Binance Wallet Prevented $540 Million in Potential Losses in the First Half of the Year, AI-Driven Crypto Scams Rapidly Escalating]
BlockBeats News, September 7: According to an official disclosure from Binance, in the first half of 2026, the Binance Wallet Security Center helped users avoid approximately $540 million in potential losses by intercepting risks in real-time across multiple areas, including spam transfers, malicious transactions, and authorizations. Data shows that during this period, the security center filtered approximately 206 million spam transfers, covering 2.6 million users; identified about 4.93 million high-risk transactions across 19 blockchains; and detected approximately 996,000 malicious authorizations.
Binance stated that attackers are leveraging AI to mass-generate malicious code, phishing websites, and fake identities, leading to a nearly threefold quarter-on-quarter increase in the number of new malicious entities. Attack patterns have also shifted from "casting a wide net" to more precise, targeted fraud. Binance noted that its security system has begun utilizing AI to analyze the behavioral logic and risk intentions of tokens and websites, with a focus on identifying new attack types such as "buy-only, no-sell" schemes and hidden backdoors.
Users are still advised to confirm specific transaction details before signing and to regularly scan for risk authorizations and assets through the Binance Wallet Security Center.
