I really enjoy staying at Yuanshan. From my balcony, I can directly see Taipei Songshan Airport, and I can even watch planes take off and land. The overall environment is great—very peaceful—and the entire hotel is situated on a mountain. In the distance, the tallest building is Taipei 101. The view is amazing, but getting around isn’t very convenient. It’s tough for solo travelers; there’s only one small supermarket in all of Yuanshan, and even the nearest places require a taxi. Still, I might choose to stay at Yuanshan again the next time I visit Taipei. Tonight, my friends arranged a farewell dinner at Shin Yeh Taiwanese Cuisine’s original flagship store, a long-standing classic in Taipei. Finally, I get to enjoy some truly authentic Taipei dishes.
