My fifth night at Yuanshan — the last sleep
Even though I’m leaving Taipei on the 8th, my flight is early in the morning on the 8th. Based on my usual habits, I probably won’t sleep at all. So last night was technically my last sleep in Taipei, and of course, it was also Christmas Eve.
Over the past few days, I’ve chatted with a lot of friends about this. Whether the incident on the first night was a dream or something supernatural, I found it fascinating. It’s the first time I’ve experienced something like this, and honestly, I’m kind of curious to explore it further within this level of intensity.
On the second day, I asked a lot of locals around me, and even consulted AI. Almost no one has heard of any supernatural incidents in Taipei that caused death or injury. So, for me, this level of "harm" is within a tolerable range.
That’s why I’ve continued staying at Yuanshan until now. I didn’t change rooms or switch hotels because I wanted to see if I could experience it again. Except for the second day, I’ve basically been replicating the circumstances of the first night — going out for drinks, sleeping at 5 a.m. — but every night has been peaceful.
I wouldn’t say it’s disappointing, because you still need to have a sense of reverence. But if it’s only at this level of harm, I think I can handle it.
