OpenAI Updates RSI Progress: Expected to Achieve 'Automated AI Researcher' by March 2028

According to a report by Jinse Finance, OpenAI recently published a blog post titled *'Research Acceleration: The View Inside OpenAI'*, revealing progress on AI 'Recursive Self-Improvement' (RSI) for the first time using internal data. The article stated that the team has achieved the goal set last fall: creating an 'automated research intern' by September this year. It is expected that a fully-fledged 'automated AI researcher' capable of participating in deep learning and alignment research, as well as iteratively improving systems, will be realized by March 2028.
