[Polish Parliament Fails to Overturn President's Veto on Crypto Regulation Bill] According to a report by Golden Finance on September 5, Polish Radio reported that on September 4, the lower house of the Polish Parliament failed to overturn President Karol Nawrocki's veto on the cryptocurrency regulation bill. The vote resulted in 241 votes in favor of overturning the veto, 198 votes against, and 3 abstentions, falling 25 votes short of the required 266. The bill proposed designating the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) as the regulatory body for the crypto market, but it has now been vetoed by Nawrocki for the third time. The president argued that the bill imposes excessive regulation on the industry, which could force Polish businesses to relocate overseas. Prime Minister Donald Tusk, however, cited an investigation related to the now-defunct exchange Zondacrypto before the vote, urging lawmakers to support the bill.
