What’s up with the $82M pump-and-dump of solana:5erj4fz47YLFZc677GNipfaK1G8UrwwPTyy9HPaMtLmk? This morning, @Shivolink posted on their project account, claiming they would let multiple Neuralink implant patients share a single X account, while also announcing the solana:5erj4fz47YLFZc677GNipfaK1G8UrwwPTyy9HPaMtLmk contract. Around 6:25 AM, Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis quoted the post, saying she was impressed by the young team behind the project and expressed her support. FYI, she’s also the mother of several of Elon Musk’s children. At 7:15 AM, she posted again to support @Shivolink. At 7:29 AM, Elon replied under her second post with “.” The crypto community immediately interpreted this interaction as a dual endorsement from Shivon and Elon. According to GMGN’s one-minute chart, the Robinhood Chain version of solana:5erj4fz47YLFZc677GNipfaK1G8UrwwPTyy9HPaMtLmk was trading at around $0.0007 before Elon’s reply. Seven minutes later, it skyrocketed to $0.082, with a market cap hitting approximately $82M—nearly a 100x increase. By around 8:20 AM, Shivon’s two related posts became unavailable, and @Shivolink was frozen by X. The market began dumping en masse. The price plummeted to as low as $0.001, a 98.7% drop from the peak. As of 8:45 AM, the market cap was around $2.15M. The most widely circulated explanation right now is that Shivon’s account was hacked, and the project team used her and Neuralink’s name to pump the token. However, neither Shivon, Neuralink, nor X has publicly confirmed the hack. At the time, her bio still included @shivolink. What we do know for sure is that the related posts have been deleted, the project account has been frozen, and Elon did indeed reply.
