[Trump: Growth Will Not Lead to Inflation, Global Lowest Interest Rates Should Be Maintained]
According to Golden Finance, on September 5, U.S. President Trump stated on Truth Social that the latest employment data showed strong performance, and the market should have risen. However, due to the long-standing concept of 'fear of inflation,' the stock market instead declined. He claimed that the U.S. is trapped in a false reality where economic improvement is suppressed through policy when growth occurs.
Trump stated, 'Growth will not lead to inflation,' and warned that if the current theory continues to be upheld, the U.S. will fail to achieve the economic prosperity it deserves. He argued that the U.S. economic growth rate should reach GDP growth levels of 15% and 20%, rather than 2%, 3%, and 4%.
Trump also emphasized that the U.S. should have the lowest interest rates globally because the U.S. drives the global economy and helps other countries develop. He noted that for every 1% increase in interest rates, the U.S. would bear an annual cost of $650 billion. He further stated that lower interest rates would help reduce the debt burden.
