The Ministry of Defense plans to collaborate with Japanese companies to build test satellites during the fiscal years 2027 to 2029 and verify their performance on the ground. These satellites are expected to be launched in fiscal year 2030 or later to test their functionality. The AI system is anticipated to be independently developed by Japan.
