[Analyst: Whether the Fed raises rates in September depends critically on August inflation] Jin10 Data, September 4 – Analyst Colby Smith pointed out that the key factor determining whether the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates later this month will not be this employment report, but rather the August inflation data. Federal Reserve Governor Waller essentially conveyed this point during his speech on Thursday. The Producer Price Index (PPI) report and the subsequently released Consumer Price Index (CPI) report will help Fed officials better assess whether the two-month trend of improving inflationary pressures remains intact.
