Sudden pump—how many people caught the meat?
This morning’s $BTC move was quite a rollercoaster.
First, it surged to $82,282, sparking FOMO; then two rounds of heavy sell pressure pushed the price back below $81,000.
Here’s a quick recap:
Round 1: $69.65M in long positions closed, with $76.98M in buy orders absorbing the sell-off.
The selling pressure was absorbed, and $BTC climbed to $82,282.8.
Round 2: $98.13M in short positions entered, but there were only $81.09M in buy orders.
Couldn’t hold up, and the price dropped below $81,000.
Round 3 was even more straightforward.
$50M in long positions entered around $81,247, but $60.06M in sell orders hit the market.
As a result, those longs barely got in before their breakeven point was broken.
So don’t just focus on that sudden green candle today.
Mark $81,247.
If $BTC can reclaim that level, it means the $50M in long positions from this morning still have a chance. But if the rebound keeps getting suppressed, that capital will be left stranded at the top.
Don’t chase the pump—watch if $81,247 can be reclaimed first.
