[U.S. July Copper Imports Hit Record High] According to a report by Jinse Finance, official data released by the U.S. Department of Commerce on Thursday, September 4, shows that driven by traders rushing to import large quantities of copper ahead of potential U.S. tariffs, the U.S. imported 225,094 tons of refined copper and copper alloys in July, setting a record high. Based on data from trade monitoring agency Trade Data Monitor, the July import volume announced by the U.S. Department of Commerce is the highest among all monthly records since 1990, representing a 78% month-on-month increase and an 8% year-on-year increase.
