[Bitcoin May Fall to $50,000 in Autumn Amid Rate Hike Expectations and CLARITY Act Stalemate]
Odaily Planet Daily News: Bitcoin's recent upward momentum has weakened, and the market is facing multiple pressures, including rising expectations of U.S. interest rate hikes and stalled cryptocurrency legislation. Some analysts believe that if U.S. rate hike expectations intensify further, Bitcoin's price could fall back into the $50,000 range.
In addition, progress on U.S. cryptocurrency regulatory legislation has come to a standstill. The 'Digital Asset Market Clarity Act' (CLARITY Act) has encountered obstacles during congressional review. On September 15, the U.S. Congress will hold a vote to decide whether to end discussions on the matter. Prediction market data shows that the probability of the bill passing by 2026 has dropped from over 50% in July to less than 20% currently.
Cryptocurrency analyst Nishiyama Yoshifumi stated that if U.S. rate hike expectations intensify sharply, Bitcoin could once again fall to the $50,000 range. Additionally, potential IPOs from AI companies such as OpenAI and Anthropic could divert some venture capital funds, putting pressure on Bitcoin.
However, some analysts believe that the previous downward trend may have already ended for the time being. The market is now focused on whether Bitcoin can stabilize within the $60,000 to $85,000 range this autumn amid macroeconomic and policy headwinds. (Nikkei News)
