He hopes the bill will pass this month and be sent to the President for signing. Atkins mentioned that the SEC will continue to push for rules related to crypto asset custody and update regulatory frameworks that are outdated for the blockchain industry. The CLARITY Act was passed by the House last year, but it stalled this year due to disagreements between banking lobby groups, lawmakers, and crypto companies over platform revenue-sharing issues.
