[US SEC Chairman: CLARITY Act Expected to Pass This Month, US to Become the 'Global Crypto Capital']
According to Bitcoin Magazine, Paul Atkins, Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), stated in an interview with Fox Business that the CLARITY Act will be voted on in the Senate on September 15. He expects the bill to pass and be sent to the President for signing, positioning the United States as the 'global crypto capital.' Atkins mentioned that regulatory agencies are advancing rules to support the crypto industry, updating and modernizing regulations for the blockchain and crypto asset era. Despite the delay in the CLARITY Act vote, the SEC and CFTC will continue to push forward with crypto policy development. Last week, the SEC submitted a proposed framework for crypto asset custody rules to the White House.
