**[World Open-Source Zero-Knowledge Authentication Toolkit ProveKit]**
According to Deep Tide TechFlow on September 3, as reported by The Block, World has open-sourced its zero-knowledge authentication toolkit, ProveKit, which has already been applied to World ID. ProveKit allows users to locally generate cryptographic proofs on their phones or browsers, enabling them to verify information such as age, nationality, or ownership of valid identification without disclosing personal data.
World stated that the toolkit uses a local proof generation method to avoid sending sensitive information to external servers and supports the Noir programming language as well as standard consumer-grade hardware. ProveKit v1 is now available for production environments, primarily targeting off-chain verification. Additionally, World is developing a v2 version to reduce proof size, generation time, and memory usage, while improving on-chain verification efficiency.
