WuShuo has learned that the Federal Reserve's latest Beige Book indicates that U.S. economic activity has grown moderately since early July. Ten out of the twelve districts reported slight to moderate growth, while two remained flat. Overall consumer spending saw a slight increase, but price sensitivity among consumers has risen. Manufacturing rebounded in most regions, with strong demand for data center-related orders in some areas. Employment saw only a slight overall increase.
On the pricing front, eight districts reported moderate price increases. The manufacturing and construction sectors are facing significant cost pressures from energy, transportation, metals, and petrochemical materials. Some consumer-facing businesses noted that rising price sensitivity among customers has limited their ability to pass on costs.
