[Google Avoids Breakup, U.S. Judge Rejects Ad Tech Business Sale Order]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, on September 2, court documents revealed that a federal judge has rejected the U.S. Department of Justice's request for Alphabet's Google to sell its ad exchange platform, sparing the tech giant from being forcibly broken up once again. Judge Leonie Brinkema issued the ruling in a brief order under seal, denying the DOJ's demand for Google to sell the AdX ad exchange platform. Instead, the judge has required Google to make behavioral adjustments to its business operations, though the specific requirements have not yet been disclosed. A redacted version of the ruling will be publicly released at a later date.
