The buzz around Robinhood Chain and whether it can sustain its momentum has sparked clear debates on X.
Here’s my personal take: The RH Chain ecosystem narrative is shaping up to be another long-term cycle narrative, following the inscription narrative. Right now, it’s still in the early stages of brewing.
Robinhood’s hype isn’t driven by a single factor—it’s a multi-pronged explosion of memes, NFTs, tokenized stocks, and DeFi. Every time the hype starts to dip, it quickly picks back up again.
And all of this is happening in a highly competitive and cutthroat public chain environment, with strong rivals like Solana, Base, and HyperEVM. With such strong resource backing, you can imagine just how powerful the resources behind RH Chain must be.
But is RH Chain’s underlying technology truly exceptional? The answer is no. It can’t even be considered a Layer 2 chain with technical innovation. You can see this from L2beat’s rankings, its recent high gas fees, and the fact that they never promote their technology.
Yet, despite being a technically unimpressive L2 chain, it has managed to completely outshine Base—a chain that has always prided itself on its capabilities—even when Base holds the trump card of token issuance expectations.
And you’re telling me this chain only has a one-month spotlight? Sorry, I can’t agree with that. #RHChain #Crypto #DeFi
