Kenya and France have in recent years elevated our mutual relationship to new heights. The ties are strong and expanding, anchored on diplomatic and economic relations, strategic investments and high level cooperation. The highlight of our exceptional relationship was the Africa Forward Summit I co-hosted with President Emmanuel Macron in May 2026. It was the first time the event was held outside France or Francophone Africa. At the summit, we signed 11 bilateral agreements, including the KSh12.5 billion Nairobi Commuter Rail upgrade, national digital connectivity expansion, and the construction of a science complex at the University of Nairobi and aviation fuel project. Bid farewell to outgoing Ambassador of France Arnaud Suquet at State House Nairobi as his four-year tour of duty comes to a close.
