Pan Gongsheng, Governor of the People's Bank of China, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Pan Gongsheng pointed out that trade frictions and protectionism have dragged down the global economy by affecting supply chains, driving up inflation, and disrupting market expectations. All parties should firmly uphold multilateralism, make full use of the G20 financial cooperation platform, strengthen macroeconomic policy coordination, and work together to address global risks and challenges. Addressing sovereign debt issues should adhere to the principle of "joint action and fair burden-sharing." The G20 should play a leading role in ensuring that all parties effectively implement the principle of "comparable treatment" within a common framework. Economic growth is the fundamental solution to resolving developing countries' debt issues and restoring debt sustainability. Internationally, the rise of trade protectionism, the overgeneralization of national security concerns, and the unpredictability of policy environments have been key factors exacerbating global imbalances in recent years. Resolving global imbalances requires countries to promote their own structural reforms. Deficit countries should reduce fiscal deficits and increase domestic savings rates, while surplus countries should moderately promote consumption and investment growth. At the same time, multilateralism must be upheld, and international cooperation strengthened. Addressing global imbalances should focus on medium-term commitments.
