I have a feeling that a new wave of crypto regulations is about to hit in China. Accounts are already getting banned on Weibo—those who’ve been through this before are reacting the fastest. But for the actual regulatory policies to be implemented, there are still many factors to evaluate. It’ll take at least a month or two. The incidents with Justin Sun and Jing Tian are just a trigger. This wave of public opinion in the Chinese-speaking world came in strong and is leaving slowly. There’s a saying: 'Fame invites trouble, just like a fat pig invites slaughter.' For someone as attention-seeking as Sun, it was only a matter of time before he hit his Waterloo. He doesn’t dare go to Beijing, and soon, I bet he won’t dare go to Hong Kong either... In the past, they just turned a blind eye. Now, this public opinion storm is the perfect excuse to crack down. But looking at the trend of crypto over the past decade, no matter what regulations come, they’ll eventually pass. Bitcoin will only grow stronger in the end. For us regular traders, though, the market might experience huge volatility due to sudden news. As long as we prepare in advance, it shouldn’t be a big problem~ Also, as a fellow 90s kid, I’ve been dealing with a herniated disc recently and got a bit emo, so I stopped going to the gym. Time to start working out again! I’m also curious to see how Justin Sun’s story will end
